The State Archives of Florida with celebrate American Archives Month 2018 with special events to help you make the most of our state’s archival treasures. 

American Archives Month events

Tuesday, October 2
4:30 to 8 p.m.

  • Extended research hours.
  • Behind-the-scenes tours at 5:30, 6:15 and 7 p.m.
  • Daguerreotype to Digital: A History of Photographic Processes, presented by Elizabeth Loeffelman and Adam Watson. from 6 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, October 13
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Extended research hours.
  • Behind-the-scenes tours every hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tuesday, October 23
4:30 to 8 p.m.

  • Extended research hours.
  • Thinking Outside the Census, presented by Bella Folmar from 6 to 6:45 p.m.
  • Daguerreotype to Digital: A History of Photographic Processes, presented by Elizabeth Loeffelman and Adam Watson from 7 to 7:45 p.m.

Location

All events will take place at the R.A. Gray Building at 500 South Bronough Street in Tallahassee.

Free parking will be available in Parking Lot E, located just past the R.A. Gray Building on the right.
