The Florida Ballet, located in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking additional faculty members for the 2018/19 school year. Positions for all genres of dance, offering instruction for all ages and abilities, are available.
The Florida Ballet is a multi-faceted institution, encompassing the Training Center, a Conservatory Program and a superior outreach department. Celebrating its 40th season this year, we continue our mission to enrich and inspire the cultural landscape of our community through the education and art of classical ballet. Our programs not only offer the highest level of dance education but go beyond technique and poise to develop important life skills – learning to be respectful, confident and conscientious young people in the community.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
• Teach weekly classes during the school year, August 18, 2018 – June 9, 2019
• Class planning & choreography
• Staff Meetings
• Communicate & build relationships with parents/dancers
Skills and Qualifications:
• Flexible availability including afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays
• Choreographic skills
• Minimum of two years teaching experience
Compensation is competitive & negotiable. Faculty members are hourly non-exempt employees.
